Scrapbooking is a full time job!
When my eldest daughter was about to graduate High School, I decided to consolidate all the pictures, ticket stubs, souvenirs and memorabilia into a scrapbook that she could take with her to college. I scanned the Internet for great scrapbook supplies and albums and by the time I was finished, I spent hundreds of dollars and needed to convert a room into a scrapbook workshop.
Considering I was a work-at-home mom, I was able to spend many hours a day working on this project. It was tremendously enjoyable and allowed me to be quite creative. Of course one album turned into 2 and then 3. By the time my daughter left for college, I gave her what was finished so far - 2 HUGE albums that chronicled her life up until ONLY 6TH GRADE! Of course, being a little “ADD” I got involved with a different hobby and put the project aside.
Then, as life gets in the way with everything, I went back to work full-time! I promised myself that I would finish her album before she graduated college.
Considering time does not stand still, my second daughter was approaching High School graduation, so I now had a new project to add to the existing one. I started her scrapbook in my (non-existent) spare time. My new house does not afford me a special place to set up a workshop, so I have had many starts and stops with these projects. I am happy to report my second daughter’s scrapbook has been completed up to her Christening (2 months old)! She is now a 20 year old Junior in college!
My goal is to chronicle at least my children’s life from Birth until first year of college. I have 10 years to go on my eldest daughter’s book and 20 years on my second daughter’s book! Considering how slowly these projects go for me, I had better start my 13 year old son’s scrapbook now!
I now have about 50 years to catch up on!

After this marathon weekend, I am up to her 1st birthday!
